Bunsen Burner

What is a Bunsen burner. A Bunsen burner is something that produces heat. you use that heat to heat up liquids to perform experiments.

Parts of a Bunsen Burner

Setting up a Bunsen Burner First you need to get all of the equipment ready if you are putting some thing over the Bunsen burner you will need a Bunsen burner a tripod and gouge( which is a solid mat) tongs a rubber tube and a gas supply. If you are doing the Bunsen burner with nothing on top you will just need a Bunsen burner a rubber tube and a gas supply.if you are doing it without something on top you do this now you attach one side of the rubber tube to the gas supplier and the other to the Bunsen burner. If with something on top then do what I just wrote then do this put the tripod on top of the Bunsen burner then the gouge on the tripod

How to get a Bunsen burner on and on safety mode First put some safety glasses on now set up the Bunsen burner like I shoed on the last slide now turn on the gas and turn the Bunsen burner this has now put the Bunsen burner on.At this point you should get a teacher then they will light a match and hold it over the Bunsen burner then there will be a flame over the Bunsen burner to now turn it on safety twist the Bunsen burner

How to put a Bunsen burner out Turn off the gas completely and that will turn the flame off.then leave the Bunsen burner for a while to cool down as well as the rest of the equipment.
