Textual analysis SKYFALL

He is shooting to show what he does for his job. The ‘007’ is bigger than the logo for the film. This is because that is the famous code for James Bond and is well known by everyone. So people will spot it easily and be interested. The gold ‘007’ has a gun next to it as it is a action orientated film. So it will have fighting in it. There is dust on his suit to show that his job is very rough. It has a scene from the movie to give the audience an idea of what the film is about. He is dressed in a formal suit which shows his professionalism. He is in the middle because he is the main protagonist.

The barrel of the riffle makes him bold and visible as it is all dark and then he comes out of light. This makes him more visible. The ‘007’ is in gold which makes it stands out. Also, gold is vey expensive to show that the film is very classy and high class. He is coming towards you which shows that he has lots of power as he is James Bond and it fits in with the theme ‘Bond is back’. The logo ‘SKYFALL’ is dirty and rusty which shows that what his job is like. As it is very risky and rough. This catches your eyes as it is also stands out because it is white on black. He has a gun in his hand. This implies that his job is very violent. Also, it shows that he is very powerful. The white and black represents light and darkness to show evil and good. He is coming out of the white which shows that he is good as he is saving peoples lives. He is wearing a suit which shows that he is has a high status. Daniel Craig is in the middle and is a bankable asset so people will want to watch it because of him. He has a very fierce posture which looks like he is coming to get you and this links to the movie as he tries to get the villain in the film. His expressions seem very aggressive and angry to show that he is a very serious character and is ready to fight. They put ‘November 2012’ and didn’t give an exact date to keep the viewers tied in and make you look forward to November. Also, they are saying before hand so that the viewers know and can schedule their plans to be ready to watch the film.
