Contractors Install Faster And ELIMINATE Call Backs With Reflok Connectors For more information, please contact your nearest DXS representative: Austin: Keith McLaughlin (512) 940.3435 Dallas: Larry Price (214) 551.4569 Houston: Joel Hill (832) 746.6793 San Antonio: Thomas McLaughlin (210) 215.5845

THE REFLOK DIFFERENCE Faster, Cleaner, More Reliable Refrigerant Connections Step 1: Ream/debur the inside of the pipe, removing any debris this may cause. No pre-treatment of the pipe = time savings $$$ Step 2: Place the correctly sized insert into one end of the pipe. It should fit without force and not be loose. REFLOK insert ensures pipe is properly debured! Step 3: Slide Reflok nut on the tubing and place a few drops of Loctite evenly around the pipe. Step 4: Place the connector on the end of the pipe. Place a drop of lubricating oil on the end of the connector where the nut will close. Step 5: Use the Reflok hydraulic tool to complete the connection. No Heat allows immediate insulation! FAST & Clean Installation Permanent & Leak Free Copper & Aluminum Flexibility No Hot Works Permit Required No Nitrogen Purging During Connection Reduced Warranty Claims Through Substantially Cleaner Systems

Reflok Eliminates The Common issues with brazing Improper Pipe Preparation - Causes the brazing rod to not adhere and possible contamination of the whole system       Wrong Braze Alloy – Can cause fragile joint seals Improper Braze Joint Thickness - smaller or larger space between the pipe and fitting will cause weak joints – must be .001”-.005” thick between the two Improper Brazing Temperature or Uneven Heat - Should be above 800°F - Under heating will not allow the filler to flow freely and over heating will make the filler melt again and flow to the bottom of the pipe or burn throughs Time consuming labor - Very costly Improper application of brazing filler metal to the joint – Can cause fragile joint seals Inadequate amount of filler metal applied to the joint – Can cause fragile joint seals Weak seals can cause leaks!! Brazing Safety Equipment Heat Resistant Gloves Brazing Goggles Should our installers start wearing gas masks to prevent fume inhalation? Possible Health Risks From Manufacturer’s Disclaimer: Overexposure to fumes caused by brazing may cause kidney and liver damage and blood disorders. May cause skin and eye irritation. May cause severe respiratory tract irritation. Overexposure to freshly formed fumes may cause flu-like illness called “metal fume fever”. The first symptoms, typically occur 4-12 hours after sufficient exposure. They are a metallic taste, dryness and irritation of the throat. Cough and shortness of breath may occur along with headache, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, muscle and joint pain, fever and chills. Harmful if swallowed. Causes gastrointestinal irritation, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Not a fire or explosion hazard in solid form. Finely divided dust may ignite and burn rapidly when mixed with air in the proper proportions. Toxic metal fumes may be released in a fire situation. The absorption of silver compounds may result in the production of a generalized grayish pigmentation of the skin that is permanent.
