Vocational Education and Training in the Eco-management Field IPPC applies an integrated environmental approach to the regulation of certain industrial activities. This means that emission to air, water (including discharges to sewer) or land, plus a range of other environmental effects, must be considered together. Technical implementation - Problems in interpretation and understanding of BAT/BREF recommendations from the people that work in permitting process - Problems in setting the Emission Limit Values (ELVs) when the permit is made - The legislation for compliance checking and revision or revoking the permit is still unclear - Undeveloped monitoring systems (insufficient technical equipment and no sufficient experience in interpreting data) May 2006
