Preparing Your Child for the Future How can my child be prepared for the future? How can I increase my child’s motivation to learn? How will my child be prepared for the PSLE? How can I support my child?

Study Tips Increasing Motivation 1. Reasons why you want to succeed – Make a list 2. Choices in my life – What do I see myself in 10 years’ time? 3. Time Management – Study Log Card, using little bits of time e.g. waiting for a next teacher to come, waiting at a bus-stop

4. Distractions in my life – handphone, tv, computer (gaming/social media), Ipad 5. Memory skills – Note taking, review cards, concept mapping, mind mapping, associations e.g. formula for Speed & Volume D ST Speed Formula Volume Formula V LHB

Increasing motivation Study tips - Before the Exams An average person has to take 7 times to remember things. Practise Revise
