SMART GOALS

SHORT-TERM GOALS To hand in my portfolio assignment in time and to achieve a first. I will have submitted my assignment by the 09/01/2015 and will put as much time and effort into it as I can to achieve a first. I will be accepted onto the CMI foundation qualification by passing the screening test and having at least 80% attendance by the end of December. To ensure I pass the test I shall revise what I have learnt so far and by attending every lecture and seminar.

LONG-TERM GOALS I will achieve a first-class degree from Southampton Solent by the end of 2018 when I graduate. To achieve this I will be studying at least 20 hours per week outside of the scheduled contact time with lecturers. I will also maintain an attendance rate of above 80% as there is a direct correlation between attendance and quality of degree achieved. To gain industry experience whilst at university. I intend on gaining some work experience during the summer 2015, to do this I need to start searching for an appropriate position as soon as possible.

CAREER GOALS I intend on finding a job straight out of university, whether this is a graduate or standard position. I believe that achieving a first-class degree and developing a web of connections whilst at university will be the best way for me to do this. To become a member of the CIM within 3 years by passing both their Foundation and full qualification offer by them. I believe this will also tie in with my other career goal as it will aid me in finding a job. To do this I will continue to study and make the most of the knowledge and information which is available to me.
