Where is the information?   This lists all the strike teams for the whole district  If you go to your area you will see what you send based on the request. Please review these periodically to confirm

PROTOCOL FOR STRIKE TEAM REQUEST 1. The Community requesting the Strike Team will do so after their normal mutual aid plan has been utilized, unless the incident type / size requires an immediate response of a Strike Team

PROTOCOL FOR STRIKE TEAM REQUEST 2. The community requesting the Strike team is responsible for designating the staging area and providing directions to the staging area or fire location. Whenever possible, the requesting community will have a fire department officer / official waiting for the Strike Team to arrive on scene.

PROTOCOL FOR STRIKE TEAM REQUEST 2. (cont) That fire department official will apprise the Strike Team Commander of the incident scope and will transmit a message to the Incident Commander that the Strike Team Commander is on scene.

Request Procedures  The Dispatcher will call over the County Band and request Strike Team  The Control Point will confirm the request and obtain information  Location Incident or Staging  Directions  I. C. contact info Community Requests

Request Procedures  Station 25 Southbridge or Station 41 Northbridge will call for a Strike Team Response to your dispatch.  The Dispatcher will tone out the Department for a (brush, structure, tanker or disaster) strike team activation. Response

PROTOCOL FOR STRIKE TEAM RESPONSE 3. The responding communities are responsible for knowing what equipment or alternate equipment to send for each type of Strike Team. All available apparatus listed on the Strike Team Run Card shall be sent upon request, unless that unit is out of service at the time of the call.

PROTOCOL FOR STRIKE TEAM RESPONSE 3. (cont.) In the event that apparatus is not available at the time of the call, the responding community shall, whenever possible, fill in with apparatus of the same type.

PROTOCOL FOR STRIKE TEAM RESPONSE 3. (cont.) If alternate apparatus is not available, the community shall notify the Control Point dispatcher, who will contact the communities on that particular Strike Team to see if they can fill in with the appropriate apparatus

PROTOCOL FOR STRIKE TEAM RESPONSE 3. (cont.) If those communities can not fill in with the appropriate apparatus, the Control Point Dispatcher shall contact another community, not on the Strike Team, to see if they can fill in for the assigned apparatus

PROTOCOL FOR STRIKE TEAM RESPONSE 4. Communications between the local Department and the Control Point will remain on the low band frequency MHz County Band

PROTOCOL FOR STRIKE TEAM REQUEST & RESPONSE Who do I call?  Station 25 ??  Station 41 ??  NO, CALL THE STRIKE COMMANDER ONLY. * * DO NOT CALL STAGING OR ANYONE ELSE.

PROTOCOL FOR STRIKE TEAM REQUEST & RESPONSE Communications between the local department and responding strike teams will move over the District 7 – VHF ORANGE channel for response coordination. The District 7 ORANGE channel will be for communications for the following areas. Command staff -strike teams Command staff -staging area Staging area-strike team commander Strike team commander-strike team apparatus

PROTOCOL FOR STRIKE TEAM REQUEST & RESPONSE Responding Communications on District 7 ORANGE:  Strike Team Commander will sign on the air with the District Control Point (Southbridge or Northbridge)  Strike Team Apparatus will sign on the air with the respective Strike Team Commander when they are responding to the staging area  Commander and Apparatus will remain on the ORANGE channel until they arrive at staging or the incident  The Strike Team Commander will communicate with the District Control Point when the strike team has arrived at the staging area.

PROTOCOL FOR STRIKE TEAM REQUEST & RESPONSE  A Communications plan will be developed with command by the Incident Dispatch Team that responds with the Strike Team  D7 RED and BLUE should be utilized to assist with communications and allow for UHF and Low band resources to be utilized at the incident scene.

PROTOCOL FOR STRIKE TEAM REQUEST & RESPONSE Paperwork ?  Is there any paperwork for it ? ?  Each town should have received manifest forms at a District 7 Chief’s meeting for your vehicles. You must provide them to the Commander when you arrive at the location.
