The Future & Sustainability  Current Wallace funding until- August 2010  Rationale to be presented to DE regarding use of “at risk” money to fund SAMS in the future  Stimulus money through 2011  Multi-state grant Application: 3i- USDE (Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Delaware, Kentucky, Atlanta-GA, Victorville-CA)-- $30+million grant to sustain and expand the SAM project  Commitment to support existing teams– continue to pursue ongoing financial support

In addition…..  Cost-savings  Reduced data collection (after 2 nd successful annual shadowing)  Co-coaching (Linn Mar pilot this year)  Closer cohesion/connection with district initiatives and internal supports available  State-supported services model with SAI

We’ve Only Just Begun…  Keep sight of the vision…for our students! They need and want their school leaders to be instructionally focused.  “What matters anywhere, matters everywhere”- Madeline Albright  “What we know/learn today doesn’t make yesterday wrong, it makes tomorrow better”- unknown
