How to use the Polycom remote

The start screen on the monitor

Scroll up, down and to the sides using the arrow keys

The FOCUS key is the long gray button on the left hand side of the remote

The NEAR and FAR buttons are the two gray buttons just under the GREEN HANG-UP button

The HANG-UP button on the remote is the GREEN OVAL button at the top.

The MUTE button is the ORANGE OVAL button in the middle.

The VOLUME buttons are the TWO GRAY buttons on the right hand side.

With the remote using the arrow keys scroll over to the address book. Push the center button to open the address book.

Using the arrow keys, scroll down to select the address book icon, then push the center button in the arrow keys to enter the address book.

Using the arrow keys, scroll up and down to select your class (classes listed alphabetically) to dial, then push the center button in the arrow keys to make the call.

The microphone with a line through it means the MUTE button is on. To remove MUTE, press the orange button on the remote

With the remote, push the NEAR button and the #4 on the number pad to focus the INSTRUCTOR camera at the near site. (The remote site camera can be manipulated ONLY if you are connected to only one site.)

With the remote, push the NEAR button and the #2 on the number pad to focus the OVERHEAD CAMERA at the near site.

With the remote, push the NEAR button and #3 on the number pad to play and record the VCR at the near site.

With the remote, push the NEAR button and #1 on the number pad to focus the STUDENT CAMERA at the near site.

To HANG-UP, press the GREEN OVAL button twice.
