Student iPad Bingo 1.Find a person who can show you how to do a task. You have to do it too and they then sign the box. 2.Your goal is to complete as many rows as possible.
Pressing Stuff The home button is round and located on the face of the device. The power button is long and thin, and located on the silver casing. The volume up and down buttons are on the side silver casing. A switch to control either the volume mute OR screen rotation is by the volume.
Switching On/Off Most iPad users don’t switch them off daily. Power down if you won’t be using your device for awhile or need to restart to troubleshoot an issue. To power down: Hold the power button until the red slider appears, swipe it The screen will go black
Touchscreen One finger: Tap Touch & hold Drag Swipe Flick Two fingers: Pinch Rotate Multi-finger gestures: Up/down for task tray Side to side for app Pinch

Task Tray for iOS 7 Swipe with your finger from the bottom of the screen upwards. The task tray will appear. Airplay to access AirServer Volume Screen Brightness Lock Screen Rotation Timer / Camera
Taking a Screen Capture Want to take a photo of what’s on your screen? Press the home and power buttons at the same time and a screenshot will be saved to your Photo Library.
Saving an Image Want to save a picture from online? Press and hold on the image Select Save Image It will now be saved in your Photos
Lock Screen Selfie Time! 1.Set your lock screen to be a clear picture of yourself. 2.It must be a picture of yourself at all times. Your home screen may be a school appropriate picture of your choice.
What if my iPad is uncooperative? If you have trouble with a specific app, manually close it: 1.Double click the home button 2.Swipe left to right to find the app you want to close 3.Touch the app and flick upwards; it will then disappear from the task tray
What if my iPad is still uncooperative? 1.If you have trouble with multiple apps, manually restart the iPad. 2.If it’s still having trouble, try a hard reset. 3.No luck? Your iPad needs help. Fill out a repair slip in your building Tech office or Library.
Authentication This authentication box will come up at different times on your iPad. This is how it knows who you are & gives you access to the internet. NEVER press cancel. Always enter the right student ID# and computer password. Student ID# Computer password
How do I connect to wifi at home or outside of school? 1.From the home screen, select the Settings app 2.Select Wifi 3.A list of all available networks will show up 4.Touch the name of the network you’d like to connect to 5.Secured? Type the password and touch Join 6.You should now be connected It is your responsibility to troubleshoot wifi connections outside of school. Your teacher(s) and school staff will not be able to assist!
How do I get apps? 1.An Apple ID and password will be provided to you here at school. 2.To download an approved app, you will open the App Catalog and download the required app with your Apple ID & password. 3.If you have an iOS device at home, you may login to that device using this ID & password and use the apps on that device.
Downloading APPROVED Apps Academic apps will be “pushed” wirelessly to student iPads OR you will go the app catalog to get them. Students should only download additional APPROVED apps when teachers instruct them to.
Downloading UNapproved apps? Students who download UNapproved apps will have their iPad locked down until they remove the unapproved app from their iPad. A notice will be sent to the IT department when any iPad has an UNapproved app installed.
