Start track To make a track to need to click TRACK at the top right of the screen, then CREATE instrument track (OR RHYTHM TRACK IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A DRUM TRACK.)

Continued That will take you to the compose view. (it is on a default piano setting) you can change the instrument to the one you desire.

Instruments Select from 128 instruments and synthetic noises.

Staffs & Clefs By default there are two staffs (the lines where the notes go) in two clefs, bass clef and treble clef. Treble is for high instruments like the flute. Bass is for low instruments like the tuba.

Rhythms Whole notes-lasts four beats. Half notes- lasts two beats. Quarter notes- lasts one beat. Eighth notes- lasts half a beat. Sixteenth- lasts a fourth of a beat. Rhythms consist of whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, eight notes, and sixteenth notes for the most part.

Rhythms (Rests) Whole rest-lasts four beats. Half rest- lasts two beats. Quarter rest- lasts one beat. Eighth rest- lasts half a beat. Sixteenth rest- lasts a fourth of a beat. Rests work the same as notes, but are silent beats.

Example Whole notes-lasts four beats. – Half notes- lasts two beats. Quarter notes- lasts one beat. – Eighth notes- lasts half a beat. » Sixteenth- lasts a fourth of a beat.

Time Signatures A time signature is how the beats play in rhythm. You’ll find ‘em at the start of the staff right after the clef symbol The main ones you’ll use are 4/4 (standard/common) and ¾ (waltz) until you grasp a greater understanding of the rhythms. Stick with 4/4 until you find the need to expand the complexity of your rhythm. The top number is how many beats there are in a measure. The bottom is which note is considered a beat. Ex: 4=quarter note, 2=half, 8=eighth etc.

To insert notes, click to select the desired beat. Once the beat is selected, click any note on the piano to insert that note. Inserting notes

If you have any other unanswered questions and no one can assist you, use the help tab on the top and search for what you need. There are many other things to edit within your song, such as dragging the notes, right-click and edit properties, etc. There are also other types of rhythms and note articulations to work with.
