 A test or experiment must be performed to find the answer  Is used to measure/find the relationship between two variables  The answer does not depend on an opinion  Requires the collection of data and observations

 How does the species of plant affect how fast it grows?  How does the speed of a mouse change with different types of treats at the end of a maze?  How does the mass of ball affect how fast it rolls down a hill?  How does walking speed affect how many calories are burned?
