Let them know about your achievement.  A Sense of Achievement – Enhancing your self-confidence and helping you excel at your job.  An Elite Group – Individuals holding certifications form an elite group of professionals who have demonstrated their manufacturing knowledge.  Portable, Career Credential – When you change jobs, your certification credentials travel with you. They look good on your resume and show you are serious about your career.  Validate your Lean experience – Align to the Lean knowledge and competency standard, develop career milestones and share Lean knowledge through mentoring others.

 In 2008, SME’s Certified Engineering Manager credential was merged with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) EMCI program. In 2009, upon the decision by ASME to dissolve EMCI, the American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM) agreed to develop an equivalent program to carry forward the work of certifying engineering managers. Effective July 1, 2010 ASEM will provide continuing registration for EMCI certified individuals and new processes for the certification of engineering managers

 The Society of Manufacturing Engineers is pleased to bring an exciting evolution of world- class Six Sigma training and certification to our members through a special agreement with Arizona State University’s Fulton School of Engineering ( ASU ).  Black Belt  Green Belt  Robust Design for Six Sigma (RDFSS):

 Designed by three organizations – the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) and The Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence – this alliance has established the standard for continuous improvement and Lean practices  In 2010, the American Society for Quality (ASQ) joined this collaborative alliance
