How Yes/No Sentences Are Formed 4 Steps 1.Cross out the past tense letters in the verb (action word). 2.Add “Did” to the beginning of the sentence. 3.Change the period to a question mark. 4.Change first letter of the original sentence to a lower case letter.

Directions for partner work 1.Come to me so that I can give you the name of your assigned partner. 2.Trade books with your partner and read through each others book. 3.Take turns asking each other questions. Be sure to respond with yes/no answers but continue to use the verbs. Example: (Sally wrote in her book) Sally jumped off the swing.
