Introducing…. Zafety Lug Lock™

 Revolutionary new safety product  Setting new standards in wheel management  Helps prevent lug nut loosening  Reduces risk of potential wheel loss  Decreases the possibility of costly wheel damage

 Wheel nuts loosen as a result of temperature change and wheel vibration.  Zafety Lug Lock ™  Zafety Lug Lock ™ creates resistance between 2 nuts minimizing their ability to rotate & loosen.  Designed for use on all wheels with 1-5/16 inch (33mm) nuts on 3.5 inch stud centers.  Easily installs over 2 adjacent nuts.

 Pre-trip inspection requires confirmation of secure wheel lug nuts  Rules apply to all public transit & commercial buses, trucks, trailers  Zafety Lug Lock ™  Zafety Lug Lock ™ provides a clear, visual check of lug nut position* Zafety Lug Lock™ * The installation of Zafety Lug Lock™ does not preclude the need for standard safety & maintenance procedures

Fleet and Driver liability is a critical issue:  NHTSA records show 1,000 reported accidents resulting from wheel loss in  Many wheel loss incidents go unreported.  $6.25 million civil award in a California personal injury accident from a wheel off.

Benefits  Provides a clear visual check of lug nut security  Reduces risk of wheel loss and potential liability for personal injury, loss of life or property damage  Reduces need for replacement lug nuts and reduces expensive wheel damage  Economical to outfit commercial vehicles  Reusable on replacement wheels

Features  Flexible and easy to install - fits over two adjacent nuts  Field tested at high and low rotation levels  Lab tested in severe vibration conditions from F to F (-40 0 C to C)  designed to be used on wheels with 1-5/16 inch (33mm) nuts on 3.5 inch stud centers  available in custom colors

Testing performed by Bodycote Testing Group Parameters: Zafety Lug Lock ™ 1. Three Zafety Lug Lock ™ units tested 2. Temperature testing at 25⁰C (77⁰F), 50⁰C (122⁰F) and - 40⁰C (-40⁰F) 3. Vibration test at 30 Hz and 3 g acceleration amplitude 4. Each segment of the test was two hours with a total duration of 6 hours

TEST PROCEDURE:  4 nuts tightened to spec ( psi)  2 nuts hand tightened  White line applied to nuts and bolts to identify positioning  Vibration at specific temperature for 2 hours Zafety Lug Lock ™  Visual inspection of Zafety Lug Lock ™ units and nuts for any changes

TEST PROCEDURE: Figure 4A: Photos of Zafety Lug Lock prior to vibration test at 50 ⁰ C 2 nuts hand tightened White line for alignment

Observations Zafety Lug Lock ™  After testing at each temperature level a visual inspection indicated the Zafety Lug Lock ™ units did not sustain any external damages or physical degradation  After testing at each temperature level a visual inspection indicated no evidence of any nut looseness

LUG NUT POSITION AT 50⁰C (122⁰F) BEFORE VIBRATION TESTING LUG NUT POSITION AT 50⁰C (122 ⁰F) AFTER VIBRATION TESTING Figure 4A: Photos of Zafety Lug Lock prior to vibration test at 50 ⁰ C Figure 5A: Photos of Zafety Lug Lock after vibration test at 50 ⁰ C No evidence of nut looseness

Zafety Lug Lock ™ Zafety Lug Lock ™ will have a positive impact on your fleet:  Reduced liability from risk of potential wheel loss.  Lower maintenance costs from possible wheel damage and lug nut replacement.  Simple visual check on wheel nut position  Allows fleets to visibly demonstrate proactive safety measures
