Environmental Issues.. We are a country that uses more water per head than any other and we need to start being very aware of this. We seem to have a love affair with wasting water. Our increasing population is causing a significant impact on water supplies. Our cities and towns need to start tackling our water crisis and begin securing our future water supply by using water more EFFICENTLY! James Woodford from the Sydney Morning Herald reported in August 2003 “All new buildings should be forced to adopt water-efficiency measures such as waterless urinals, dual-flush toilets, triple A-rated shower heads and rainwater tanks to remove peoples choice about using less water”  Is a fantastic and informative website. It gives State by State detail information on current dam levels and water restrictions..

Waterless Urinal Cleaning & Maintenance System

What is the Nevada System? It’s a two part system that has been designed and manufactured to clean, sanitize and deodorize urinals. Without needing water to flush urine away. The Nevada System is a highly effective yet simple and economical alternative to replacing current urinals with a waterless urinal or water conserving systems. The system not only maintains the cleanliness of urinals, but ensures an increased level of hygiene within washrooms and has the proven ability to save money.

Benefits of Using the Nevada System The benefits include odour elimination, chemical free effective maintenance, improved hygiene and above all, cost savings. Reducing Malodour - The formulation in both the liquid cleaner and the tablets ensures that malodours are encapsulated, releasing a pleasant odour. Reducing Impact on Environment - A 100% biodegradable system which eliminates the use of harmful chemicals agents that can be detrimental to both urinals and the Environment. Reducing Water Use – Savings of up to 98% in an average urinal facility. This equates to approximately 150,000 litres of water per year.

Nevada Liquid Cleaner An organic biodegradable acid liquid cleaner which when applied creates a protective shield over the urinal surface. This shield prevents uric acid and germ films from forming on the urinal surface. 1Lt Bottle - NEV01 5Lt Bottle - NEV05

Nevada Tablets The tablets have been formulated to slowly dissolve and release a deodoriser which encapsulates malodours and has enzymes that target the urine which will prevent the formation of films/germs from forming. 5kg Tablet Pail - NEV5KG

Chemical Makeup LIQUID CLEANER Similar make up to that of the tablets with gluconic acid included. Gluconic Acid – is an organic compound, comes from sugar cane. Is used in cleaning products where it dissolves mineral deposits especially in alkaline solution

Cleaning Procedure INITIAL CLEAN STEP 1 Turn off Water Supply Remove rubbish from urinal. Loosen and remove waste cap. STEP 2 Apply diluted Nevada Liquid Cleaner 50:50 to entire urinal surface. Applying the liquid cleaner is best done through a 1lt bottle. STEP 3 Scrub entire urinal and waste hole with a stiff bristle brush and allow to penetrate for 2-3 minutes STEP 4 Rinse with water and replace waste cap. Place 1 Nevada Tablet in the urinal to clean, sanitise and deodorise. It is recommended that rubber gloves and safety glasses be worn

Cleaning Procedure MAINTENANCE CLEANING STEP 1 Dilute 50:1 into watering can. STEP 2 Apply Nevada Liquid Cleaner over the entire surface of the urinal. Scrub surface with a stiff bristle brush. STEP 3 Replace Nevada tablet if needed. Maintenance steps are recommended to be repeated once or twice daily depending on frequency of use. It is recommended that rubber gloves and safety glasses be worn.
