THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION IS THE IDEA THAT ANIMAL AND HUMAN LIFE HAVE DEVELOPED GRADUALLY OVER MILLIONS OF YEARS.

THIS IS WIDELY ACCEPTED AS THE BEST EXPLANATION FOR THE ORIGIN AND DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN LIFE.

WHAT DID HE SEE. 1. MANY SPECIES THAT WERE NOT FOUND IN EUROPE. 2 WHAT DID HE SEE? 1. MANY SPECIES THAT WERE NOT FOUND IN EUROPE. 2. LOTS OF FOSSILS. 3. 13 DIFFERENT TYPES OF FINCHES

WHY WOULD GOD CREATE SO MANY DIFFERENT SPECIES TO SUIT EACH ISLAND?

IT’S MORE LIKELY THAT EACH SPECIES GRADUALLY CHANGED OVER A GREAT PERIOD TIME TO SUIT IT’S SURROUNDINGS.

DARWIN THOUGHT THAT…. IN EACH GENERATION OF A SPECIES THERE’S ALWAYS VARIATION. THE MOST VALUABLE QUALITIES ARE THE ONES THAT HELP ANIMALS SURVIVE. THESE ANIMALS ARE MORE LIKELY TO SURVIVE AND BREED. THEIR QUALITIES WILL BE PASSED ON TO THEIR OFFSPRING. THE ANIMALS WITHOUT THESES QUALITIES WILL EVENTUALLY DIE OUT.

EVIDENCE FOR EVOLUTION: SIMILAR EMBRYOS EVIDENCE FOR EVOLUTION: SIMILAR EMBRYOS.MANY SPECIES SHARE SIMILAR EMBRYONIC DEVELOPMENT.

EVIDENCE FOR EVOLUTION HOMOLOGIES ( THIS REFERS TO ANY SIMILARITY BETWEEN CHARACTERISTICS OF ORGANISMS THAT IS DUE TO THEIR SHARED ANCESTRY. DRUG RESISTANT BACTERIA (THIS IS WHEN BACTERIA IN THE BODY EVOLVE TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO WITHSTAND THE EFFECTS OF DRUGS, PARTICULARLY ANTIBIOTICS) FOSSILS SIMILAR DNA IN DIFFERENT SPECIES

EVOLUTION BY NATURAL SELECTION

NATURAL SELECTION

DO CHRISTIANS ACCEPT OR REJECT EVOLTION?

ARGUMENTS AGAINST EVOLUTION NOT MENTIONED IN BIBLE ALL SPECIES WERE CREATED BY GOD HUMANS ARE SPECIAL – WE DID NOT EVOLVE FROM SOMETHING ELSE GOD MADE ADAM AND EVE IN THEIR FINAL FORM NOT GRADUALLY MISSING LINK THEORY NOT ENOUGH PROOF EXPLAINS THE ‘HOW’ BUT NOT THE ‘WHY’

ARGUMENTS FOR EVOLUTION EVOLUTION HAS TAKEN BILLIONS OF YEARS, NOT 6 DAYS WOMEN WEREN’T MADE FROM MEN’S RIBS MORE EVIDENCE IN EVOLUTIONARY THEORY THAN BIBLE HOMOLOGIES FOSSILS DRUG RESISTANT BACTERIA

1. DESCRIBE THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION 4KU 2 1. DESCRIBE THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION 4KU 2. ‘THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION PROVES THAT GOD DOES NOT EXIST’ HOW CONVINCING DO YOU FIND THIS STATEMENT? 3. DO ALL CHRISTIANS THINK IT IS POSSIBLE TO BELIEVE IN BOTH EVOLUTIONART THEORY AND GOD AT THE SAME TIME?
