PETER- FROM INSTABILITY TO CONSISTENCY

If you wanted to summarize the ministry of Jesus the main word you would have to use is transformation.

Peter was one who was dramatically changed by Jesus-from instability to consistency.

“And he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, "You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas" (which is translated, A Stone)..” John 1:42

Jesus looks past who a person is in the present and sees who they can be in the future if they allow God’s Spirit to work His work in them.

Are you consistent in your faith?

Are you consistent in your ability to withstand temptation?

Are you consistent in your attitudes?

We could all use a good dose of consistency, couldn’t we?

Simon Peter before his transformation

Peter was inconsistent in his faith.

Peter was inconsistent in his doctrine

Peter was inconsistent in his courage.

Simon Peter after his transformation:

1. His admission of failure.

2.His acceptance of his assignment from Jesus on the shores of Galilee.

3. His filling of the Holy Spirit

“SATURATED”

Being filled with the Spirit is not a one-time thing, but God plans on it happening EVERY day.
