Shelter Against Future Environmental Tragedy Disaster and Emergency Permanent Replacement Dwellings Earthquake in Haiti, January 12th 2010 Population of Port-au-Prince about 3,000,000 people, living in extreme poverty prior to quake. Per Capita Income was $400 per year, before Earthquake. 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 are now homeless.

Aid Goal now is to repair infrastructure and create safe shelter for the survivors.

These trailers were built by the Private Sector, and sustained jobs for those factories. The average cost per FEMA dwelling to the taxpayers was $16, FEMA Trailers For Sale

They are sitting new, in lots today, useful as Scrap ONLY and cannot be lived in. Trailers are temporary housing at best, especially in region that is prone to hurricanes, and even if new ones were made safe, they are not practical to ship to Haiti. Warning! Not Safe to inhabit!
