Asking a Question: Another way to Hook your reader. Ask a thought provoking question about your topic. You could simply turn your topic into a question. Examples: Do kids face safety issues in public schools? Have you ever dreamed of creating a new television show?

Three Words Only: Another way to Hook your reader. You simply list three words as standalone sentences. Examples: No. No. No Cars. Bikes. Trains. Unfair. Unfair. Unfair.
