I am Michael, and I will be your guide for this tour. Learning about our country’s past has never been easier or more exciting. Let me show you why. Learning about our country’s past has never been easier or more exciting. Let me show you why.

Original newspapers, documents, articles, sketches and photos will take you into the lives of the people who lived this exciting adventure. You will read of their daily lives and the history-making events that formed this wonderful country we call America.

Journey Back in Time is indexed by Eras, Themes and Keywords, making your search fast, easy and effective. The site is designed for teachers and students, and it provides users with the very material they need to meet their goals. In addition, the material is presented in a user-friendly way with the most up-to-date technology.

All articles and documents are presented in PDF format, offering teachers and students many possibilities for using the material. We have English classes creating newspapers, history classes constructing timelines, and even drama classes creating their own plays from our Colonial and Revolutionary sources.

You will find scavenger hunts on our site, a very helpful tool for the teacher, and a fun way for students to learn our country’s past. Teachers can use our hunts, or they can create their own. We also provide a research facility; we want to be sure we have the material you need, so if you don’t find it on the site, let me know we will do our best to get it for you.

We have an area called “Collections.” Here you will find a variety of items such as journals, Indian treaties, runs of newspapers, diaries, rare books and much more. This is a fascinating area to which we are always adding material.

We also monitor the site for usage, and upon request we will provide you with your school’s statistics. Because we are continually adding material to the site, we send subscribers a monthly news letter for an update on new items We also monitor the site for usage, and upon request we will provide you with your school’s statistics.
