Participants and Responses

Are there Hiring Procedures or Policies at PCC that you Think Ought to Change?

Open Ended Responses Open ended responses were coded, using a content analysis method, with two independent raters and the results are on the slides that follow.

Are there hiring procedures or policies at PCC that you think ought to change? (n=115)

Do you have any concerns that questionable practices occurred?

Do you have any concerns that questionable practices occurred ? (n=89)

What does the survey tell us? A high response rate tells us that there is significant dissatisfaction in campus hiring Faculty and staff widely believe that we have real issues with the process and adherence to the rules at all levels (Faculty/Staff/Admin/HR) To a lesser degree faculty and staff see problems with the policies themselves.

Moving Forward The committee intends to: Figure out how to get current policies adhered to by all involved in the process and Identify, and possibly change, policies that are not working well or need tuning up
