Vertebrate Jawless fish are vertebrate. Vertebrate means it has a back bone.

Habitat They live deep in the water. Maybe the bottom of a river or in a cave at the bottom of the ocean.

Cold Blooded Jawless fish cold blooded. Cold blooded means it can not control its body temperature.

Life Cycle A Jawless fish lays up to thousand eggs And in about 5 weeks the eggs will hatch

How they breathe Jawless fish us gills to breathe. The gills take the oxygen out of the water.

Body covering They are a fish but thy don’t have any scales. They have rough skin. They have glands that give off slime Jawless fish’s long bodies make them look like electric ells

reproduce Jawless fish lay over 200 eggs it takes 5 weeks later for the eggs to hatch.

Special body parts Jawless fish have no paired fins there is ventral fins. Ventral fins are close to the pectoral fins going close to the abdomen. Petracol fins they get before they grow into lungs. Jawless fish don’t have paired fins but they have something simuler cadual fins. Jawless fish have really sharp teeth.

Other Interesting facts Jawless fish have very sharp teeth up and down. Hagfish feed by shredding the bodies of dead or injured animals. A hagfish will sometimes enter the body of its prey via the prey’s mouth, from inside. Sometimes,a hagfish will tie itself into a knot in order to give itself leverage when it is lampery’s are parasites.

specias Lamprey, infraylum, myxinodea, petromyzontiformes

Questions What is a vertebrate? What special body parts does a jawless fish have? What do there gills do? What kinds of jawless fish are there?
