“I will be with you.” Ex 3:12

And with your Spirit

[silent pause] Confiteor or Kyrie How can I better pray this? Penitential Act [silent pause] Confiteor or Kyrie How can I better pray this?

Confiteor I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault; therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.

“Sinned greatly” ‘Then David said to God, “I have sinned greatly in doing this thing.”’ 1 Chr 21:8

Peter’s threefold denial through my fault through my most grievous fault

Kyrie Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy.

Gloria Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will. We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father.  Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

Luke 2:14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will.”

Collect/Opening Prayer Almighty ever-living God, whose will is to restore all things in your beloved Son, the King of the universe, grant, we pray, that the whole creation, set free from slavery, may render your majesty service and ceaselessly proclaim your praise. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe

II. Liturgy of the Word

Scripture Readings 1st Reading: Old or New Testament Responsorial Psalm 2nd Reading: New Testament Gospel

A reading from the holy Gospel according to ________ People: Glory to you, O Lord.

May Christ's words be in my mind, † on my lips, † and in my heart. †

Profession of Faith Apostles Creed or Nicene Creed

Nicene Creed I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Preparation of the Gifts Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received the bread we offer you: fruit of the earth and work of human hands, it will become for us the bread of life. Blessed be God for ever.

Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you: fruit of the vine and work of human hands it will become our spiritual drink. Blessed be God for ever.

commingling “By the mystery of this water and wine may we come to share in the divinity of Christ who humbled himself to share in our humanity.”

Priest, bowing profoundly, says quietly, “With humble spirit and contrite heart may we be accepted by you, O Lord, and may our sacrifice in your sight this day be pleasing to you, Lord God.”

“Wash me, O Lord, from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.”

Invitation to Prayer Priest: Pray, brethren (brothers and sisters), that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father. People: May the Lord accept this sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all his holy Church.

Preface Dialogue The Lord be with you. And with your spirit. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right and just.

Sanctus Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

Consecration

Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my Body, which will be given up for you. Take this, all of you, and drink from it, for this is the chalice of my Blood, the Blood of the new and eternal covenant, which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in memory of me.

Calix = Chalice Pro Multis = “for many” More accurate Matthew and Mark Isaiah: Suffering servant Not all will be saved
