Venezuela Experience Venezuela The Rainforests The History The OceanThe Mountains

The Beaches of Venezuela  Venezuela is home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches due to its location on the Atlantic & Caribbean Oceans  Many water sports including boating, fishing, and snorkeling can be found around its coastlines  Its position relative to the equator provides a tropical climate all year round Los Llanos at Sunset Los Roques

The Andes Mountains The Andes Mountains are the longest and one of the highest mountain ranges in the world. The Condor The Iguana The Mountains are home to a variety of species of animals including the Condor, the Llama, the Giant Toad and the Andean Iguana, one of the few lizards that can be found in a cooler climate. Located in South America, these mountains stretch 4,500 miles from north to south, along the western coast of the continent. Because of their relation to the equator, temperatures are usually mild in the mountains.

The Rainforests of South America The Amazon River Basin is home to the largest rainforest on Earth. The basin -- roughly the size of the forty-eight contiguous United States -- covers some 40% of the South American continent and includes parts of eight South American countries of Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, Guyana, Suriname and of course, Venezuela. The rainforests are interdependent which means that all species are dependant upon one another for survival. This is a key characteristic of the rainforest’s ecosystem. Each species that disappears from the ecosystem can weaken the survival chances of another. This is one of the reasons why ecologists are so concerned with the slowly disappearing lands of the Earth’s Rainforests. To find out more about the ecological aspects of the rainforests and what can be done to preserve them, contact or planetsave.com
