An APC,(Armored Personnel Carrier) is very important to the survival of the troops around it. Tanks are important to the troops because, it helps cross rugged terrain, it can destroy enemy outposts, and it can fight fast moving vehicles.

THE CREW The crew consists of the commander, the driver, the gunner, and a loader. The job of the commander is to oversee all operations and to communicate with other tank commanders. The driver sits under the main gun turret and he or she operates it. The gunner, as you might have guessed, controls the main gun. The loader helps the gunner by loading the main gun with ammunition.

THE ISRAELI MERKAVA The Israeli Markova has many weapons. It has a 120mm main gun which fires laser guided anti-tank missiles, as well as three secondary machine guns, an internal mortar, and smoke grenades. It is usually used in deserts. KA BOOM!

ABRAMS TANK This is my favorite tank. It uses a 1500 horsepower gas turbine to move better. The light-weight, high power turbine engine lets the M1 move faster and move better than most similar tanks. They made two versions of the M1: the M1A1 and the M1A2.
