Scientific issues: The Brazilian Rainforest By: Amanda Stay Before & After

Introduction The rainforest are disappearing super fast and every second an acre is disappearing I picked this topic because this is very important and sad for the animals and people around this area. Hopefully people care enough and are trying to change!

Question #1  This issue is about the Brazilian rainforest being torn down. This effects the animals living in the Brazilian and the Amazon because the Brazilian rainforest is in the Amazon. The rainforest is important because the trees and plants make oxygen for humans and all living things, plus the animals won’t have a place to live and the animals will not be safe from dangerous things or their predators.

Question #2  The science behind this is the animals are getting extinct and plants are getting destroyed and we need tree and plants to live because they make oxygen for our air.

Question #3  Yes this scientific issue is on the news a lot explaining how trees are disappearing and people are tearing down trees for fire, more land, and for making paper.

Question #4  People

Ways to help the Brazilian rainforest  Don’t buy tropical woods because it is commonly used for furniture, flooring.  Also use FSC paper and ask your school district if they use the FSC paper.  You could also support or donate to certain organization that helps with purchases of large tracts for preservation in the rainforest.  You can purchase pieces of land in the rainforest preservation.  Another is you can support the people who live in the rainforest and help them with the environment around their house.  Also you should reduce oil and paper consumption.
