What is a Fossil Rainforest? By: Mariam Sabah

What is a Fossil Rainforest? A fossil rainforest has been found by scientists exploring a mine, have uncovered a natural Sistine chapel showing not religious paintings, but incredible images of sprawling tree trunks and fallen leaves that use to breathe life into an ancient rainforest.

How do Fossil Rainforests form? For an organism to become a fossil it must not be eaten or decomposed. They can only form in an environment that is dry and doesn't contain to much germs. they can also form if they are buried in sedimentary rocks.

Where can Fossil Rainforest be found? Huge tracts of prehistoric rain forest ravaged by global warming more than 300 million years ago have been found preserved underneath the U.S. Midwest.
