Introduction In 1971, the group of enthusiasts, on board of the rusty boat Philis Cormac, sailed from Vancouver to protest against nuclear tests conducted by the U.S. Government on the Island of Aleutian. The first, spontaneous trip was not a resounding success, however, has created the foundations of the Greenpeace organisation, which works currently (in more than 40 countries) to eliminate the greatest threats the environment. One of the most famous ships of this organisation was ‘Rainbow Warrior‘ in the years of Although currently Geenpeace is considered to be an extreme organization, many of its statutory objectives we loved ones. That's why we have taken the best value of it and we have created the game „RAINBOW SAILORS”. Preschoolers become the crew of the ship. The crew is aimed at saving Earth from the dangers posed by the progress of civilization.

Tamplate of the game The Name of the game - „RAINBOW SAILORS” Participants/number- 5 Educational purpose- The evolution of ecological stanadard of children, using terms from IT ECO Dictionary and the development of gross motor skills. Child: Meets at least 10 concepts associated with ecology Meets environmental risks Recognises numbers in the range from 1 to 5 and counts to 5 Develops its gross motor skills Keeps the balance on the balance beam Works in one Group

Rules of the game Children are divided into teams of 5. Children enter the ship 'Rainbow Sailors ‘ using gangboard – a balance beam. As soon as children get into the ship they become a crew of ecologists who need to save the threatened wildlife of our planet - the Earth.

Children using a fishing rod with magnet angle cards numbered from 1 to 5. Each number represents a different task. Then teacher reads a description of the command to be done. Rules of the game

Every task is performed by a whole team in a specified period of time. If the command is to go ashore children must get off the ship using the ladder and then go across the gangboard (a balance beam).

Rules of the game If the command is connected with the sea children must slide into the „water”.

Children receive 4 points if the task is done properly, 2 points if it is done only partly, 0 point for failure to complete a task. Each team can gain maximum 20 points for the entire game. When the game is over children get a badge and the title of: 1. ‘SUPERECOLOGIST’ (if one team gets points), 2. ‘ECOLOGIST’ (for 9-14 points), 3. ‘RECRUIT’ (for 0-8 points) Rules of the game

Examples of tasks :nr„1” You have arrived to the coast of Africa. Many people here are running out of pure, available for drinking water. Give us 2 ways of saving sweet water, so that this situation could never meet us in our country and 2 examples how to save energy. For each example, you will receive 1 point.

Examples of tasks : nr „2” You get to the Polish Coast. Some animals leaving here are at a risk of extinction. They need our protection (as bear, wolf, seal, or lynx )or they need our help in getting food during the winter. You have to go ashore and match proper food to the animals. You have 5 minutes to fullfil Your task and go back to Your ship.

Examples of tasks : nr„3” The Amazon rainforest is the largest jungle in the world. However, human activity, mainly industry, causes increasing felling of trees. It's sad, because without the oxygen (part of the air) that trees produce, we would not be able to breathe. You can save our wildlife by planting new trees. However, do You know how do they grow? Your task is to go ashore and arrnage 5 illustration showing the 5 stages of the plant’s growth. You have 5 minute for this task.

Examples of tasks: nr „4” A giant oil tanker crashed in Florida Coast. The huge, black spot leaked into the seawater, causing the oil polluting of the marine environment and land. Dive down into the ocean and try to pick out as many birds as You can and draw them on the ship, to clean them out from the oil. On the execution of the task you have 3 minutes.

Examples of tasks: nr „5” You meet great drifting island of garbage on the Pacific Ocean. Dive into the sea waves and bring the largest number of garbage up and then segragate them in the appropriate containers. On the execution of the task you have 5 minutes.
