L ine things up Line up your text and pictures Use the top or bottom edge as a guide This will make your slides look good

U se 3 to 6 points per slide Don’t put too many points on a slide Use at least 3 points Don’t use more than 6 points Don’t overcrowd your slides

M ake pictures relevant Only use pictures that are relevant to your slide Don’t use too many pictures You don’t have to use pictures

Use Contrast Don’t be a wimp If things are different - make them really different C ontrast

Contrast Avoid multi-colour backgrounds Generally multicolour backgrounds mean you can’t read the text - avoid them!! This is bad - - you cant read the text This is better Best of all

F onts Avoid serif fonts eg Times New Roman Use a sans serif font … eg Tahoma Don’t write ALL IN CAPITAL LETTERS Never use 3D WordArt It looks tacky…hard to read... childish
