Interviewing 10 Tips for Success Kathleen Gosser February 21, 2009

Tip 1: Practice, Practice, Practice Your smile and handshake Your responses to “tough” questions Your ability to ask questions Get a friend to help Practice will ease your nerves!

Tip 2: Be early for the interview Keeping a prospective employer waiting can be viewed as disrespectful and apathetic.

Tip 3: Documents in order Complete applications neatly and accurately Bring copies of your resume to the interview

Tip 4: First impressions count! Smile! Appropriate dress Perfect grooming Strong handshake Eye Contact

Tip 5: Body language is LOUD! Posture Posture Attentiveness Attentiveness Gestures Gestures Listening signs Listening signs

Tip 6: Be positive! Smile! Positive only regarding prior position Watch getting “too comfortable” Project energy!
