REGULAR ARMY OPPORTUNITIES

College Financial Aid Programs n Montgomery GI Bill –Two-year enlistment earns you a total benefit of $19,008 for college ($528 per month for 36 academic months). –Three to six year enlistment earns you $23,400 for college ($650 per month for 36 academic months).

College Financial Aid Programs n Army College Fund –Provides additional benefits to GI Bill participants. –Must enlist for a critical Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) or job.

College Financial Aid Programs n College First –Pays $ per month just to stay in school for two years. –Pays off any federal loans upon enlistment. –Three year tour of duty in the Regular Army.

College Financial Aid Programs n Army Tuition Assistance –Financial assistance for voluntary off-duty education programs. –Available to continue your education while you serve.

Education Programs n Army Loan Repayment Program –Pays off $65, of college loans. –If applicant has a four-year degree, can apply for Officer Candidate School. –Veteran hiring preference once you leave the Army.

Officer Candidate School –Earn 2nd Lieutenant and leave as a Captain. –In charge of highly motivated men and women. –Adventure and travel. –Mid-management experience with Veteran hiring preference. n Requirements –Complete a four-year degree. –Between the ages of 19 and 29. –Physically fit. n General – Four-Year tour of duty as a Commissioned Officer.

Reserve Officer Training Corps n Scholarships –Merit based and 4- year scholarships. –Pays up to $16,000 for tuition, $600 for books and other fees and provides a $250 - $350 monthly stipend for living expenses. n Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) –Soldiers enlist in an Army Reserve unit and drill with unit. –Receive drill pay (at SGT E-5 rate) in addition to cadet pay. –Receive on the job training as an officer.

Cash Enlistment Bonuses n Receive $1,500 - $20,000 based on enlistment options and qualifications. n Two or more year enlistment Regular Army or six or more year enlistment Army Reserve. n Veteran hiring preference.

Specialized Training Programs n Airborne Training –Availability based on MOS and individual qualifications. n Ranger –Availability based on MOS, unit requirements and individual qualifications. n Special Forces –Availability based on MOS. –Letter of intent at enlistment.
