Produces reminders to students for outstanding fees or debts to the University. Student Financial Support Tel: (x23287 internal) Provides advice for those students wishing to apply for the Access to Learning Fund which offers non repayable Grants, Access to Higher Education Bursaries, Post-Graduate Bursaries, and repayable Short Term Loans. We also collate information regarding Scholarships and Studentships, in order to advise students effectively, and work in partnership with the Student Loan Company in administering the University Bursary Scheme. ID Card Service Tel: (x29599 internal) Produces identity cards for staff, students, contractors and university visitors, issuing replacement ID cards from within the Student Services Centre. Student Services Centre Tel: (x29599 internal) The Student Services Centre is a central point of contact for all student queries. In partnership with other Professional Services and the Student Services Department, it deals with queries and payment of accommodation and tuition fees and provides general information and advice regarding graduation, student funds, and exams in particular. The Centre is staffed by trained advisers who aim to answer 80% of all queries at the front desk. Our advisers can be contacted by , telephone, voic , letter or fax. There is also a referral system for students requiring specialist advice from the services outlined below. You’ll find us by logging into the SUSSED portal and clicking on the ‘Resources’ tab. Accommodation Service Tel: (x25959 internal) Provides administration, information and support to the University Community in all aspects of student housing in halls of residence and the private rented sector. In addition we offer a free, confidential advisory service and a wide range of handbooks, leaflets and checklists covering the full range of housing topics. Graduation Office Tel: (x23620internal) Web: Organises graduation ceremonies, liaising with students, staff and guests. The Graduation website provides Frequently Asked Questions, links to service providers and online forms to reserve your place at Graduation Ceremonies. Exams Office Tel: (x22823internal) Helps students and staff with any administration relating to three main exam periods including arranging accommodation here and overseas, producing and publishing the exam timetable, making arrangements for students with additional exam requirements and arranging exam invigilation.

Student Support Counselling Service Tel: (x23719 internal); Supports students and staff in balancing study and work achievement with emotional well-being, in a confidential setting, with an appropriately trained and experienced counsellor. Centre for Enabling and Learning Technologies (CELT) Tel: (x27233 internal); Provides specialist assessments for students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties (dyslexia), many of whom are eligible for the Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSAs). Learning Differences Centre Tel: (x22759 internal); Supports dyslexic students and those who are dyspraxic or have other specific learning difficulties. Diagnostic assessment/provision of specialised academic study skills tuition. Mentors (support tutors) help students to manage their course.
