Identification

On Identification… Purpose: The purpose of identification is to find students whose potential and/or performance is so extraordinary that they require differentiation in their instructional program.

Realities of Identification There is no single way to identify eligible students. States and schools do it in different ways based on an adopted definition and state requirements. DoDEA requires multiple measures be used in order to determine eligibility for gifted education services. Terra Nova scores are not enough.
