TIME FRAME STATUS Southwest Washington Workforce Development Council (SWWDC) Funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 will allow eligible yr olds summer jobs in Clark, Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties. 0Six week program from July 7 to August 14. The City employed 17 youth workers this summer. The program received $2M from the American Recovery and Rein- vestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). This grant was projected to create 800 summer jobs and provide meaningful work experience for low-income youth. Youth ages were employed by the City July 7- August 14 working an average of 24 hours per week in the City Manager’s office, City Shop, and Traffic, Street, Parks, and Water/Sewer Divisions.

Assistance to Firefighters Recovery Grant or American Recovery and Reinvestment Act provided by FEMA. ARRA funding could provide remodel or new construction for fire stations. $210 Million Jul-Sep 2009 Application submitted July 9 th requesting $4,088,494 for construction of new fire station.
