FACILITIES OVERVIEW | CURRENT FACILITIES Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre – 3 rinks / 15,000 seat arena Thunderbird Stadium – 3,200 seat artificial turf stadium Thunderbird Park – 12 playing fields, track and baseball field War Memorial Gymnasium – 3,000 seat gymnasium and administrative hub UBC Aquatic Centre John M.S. Lecky Boathouse – 14,000 square foot rowing and events facility Student Recreation Centre - 3 gymnasiums and fitness centre UBC Tennis Centre – 8 court / 80,000 square foot facility UBC Tennis Bubble – 4 court facility Gerald McGavin Rugby Centre / Old Rugby Pavilion Ponderosa Studio

FACILITIES OVERVIEW | MASTER PLAN Completed to date 2008 Business Plan Audits / assessments completed of all A+R facilities 2012 Capital priorities and capital project summary completed Master plan Future needs assessment Addressing aging facilities: War Memorial Gymnasium / Thunderbird Stadium Partnerships Current student usage 21,000 individual students have participated in a recreational program (May 2014-Oct 2014; excludes Tennis and Ice) Current programs at capacity: IM leagues, Birdcoop, Drop-in sports in the gymnasiums (incl. Badminton)

Assessing Needs Questions: What programs are not being offered? Where do we need to be offering programs? What are programs that will engage new students?
