Baseball in Japan Japan loves baseball. Nippon Professional Baseball – They have quite a few team there that can be considered minor league. School girls are ushers signaling foul balls. Their games can end in a tie. Fans cheer for each batter that comes to the plate. – Each batter has his own cheer.

Baseball in Washington Washington has a professional baseball team the Mariners. – They have not won a world series yet but they have had some great players over time. – Many Japanese people like the Mariners because of the players they had, Ichiro Suzuki and Hisashi Iwakuma. – There is quite a few of Mariners fans now because they are starting to become good again.

Connections They have the same rules. – Japanese baseball is about 50 years behind American baseball but they are developing it to their customs. They both can use foreign players on the teams. They both have great and dedicated fans. The players make quite a bit of money. (430 million yen 25.7 million dollars).
