Program overview Aim: Training highly qualified specialists in the field of technical sciences on the basis of modern science and technology: Objectives: The study of existing technological processes and development of new technological processes The use of modern achievements of science in the development of new processes Applying modern methods of organization of engineering production, an analysis of economic activities of the organization, to develop proposals to improve its effectiveness -Areas of specialization: Mechanical engineer -Language of instruction: Russian, Belorusian -Motivation for students to apply : Opportunity to obtain higher qualifications, external cooperation and employment benefits 2

Courses Environmental Effects from Technical Systems and Processes  The aim of the course is to form a view of the main directions and consequences of the impact of the technical systems and processes on environment.  Learning outcomes (learning objectives): explain and forecast the negative effects of industrial production on the environment and related environmental problems, list of modern methods of control of industrial pollution, identify and describe the impact of transport on the environment during its production and use, analyze the impact of agricultural technology on the functioning of ecosystems, choose the ways to optimize the impact of technical systems and processes on the environment, apply environmental technologies in an industrial plant in order to solve or minimize pollutions to air and water. 4

Rationing and Control of Harmful Influence on Environment  The aim of the course is to form an idea of ​​ standardization and control, as a factor in regulating harmful anthropogenic impact on the environment.  Learning outcomes (learning objectives): introduce students to the main areas of influence of industrial production on the environment, consider the effects of agricultural and transport sectors of the economy of nature, acquaint students with modern environmental technologies in industry, give an idea of ​​ the system of regulation and control of the environment. 6 Courses

Preparation of master thesis and graduation  Requirements for Master degree To possess profound knowledge of special courses; To be capable to solve complex professional challenges, problems of research and scientific and pedagogical activity; To be able to develop and introduce innovative projects.  Requirements to Master thesis The master thesis has to be directed on the solution of a theoretical and experimental task in branches of technical science. The thesis has to contain the abstract and research part reflecting professional competences of the student in compliance in the specialty. The research part has to make not less than 50% of volume of the thesis. 8

Learning environment and facilities  The University provides 6 technological laboratories (Faculty of Engineering)  Department of Science provides teaching of courses in environment sphere at all 4 faculties of University. Educating of master-level students on the program takes place at the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology  There is an access to books and journals, reference and specialized data bases at the library of the university  There is an access to Internet and computer classes (8 classes)  Baranovichi State University has working space enough for students  Master-level students have the opportunity to obtain inernships in the framework of cooperation in industrial enterprises of Baranovichi (“Torgmash”, “Atlant”, etc.) and the Faculty of Engineering of BarSU as lectors  Master-level students have possibility to participate in conferences, workshops, summer schools aboard 11

IE Laboratory  Role of the laboratory in the study process implementation of seminars and labs in the courses “Environmental Effects from Technical Systems and Processes” and “Rationing and Control of Harmful Influence on Environment”, :Bases of ecology”, etc. In an aspect of prepare the master thesis will be:  will drive research in the spectrum of biological indication of the environment:  Compiled computer map the ecological status of urban areas;  to conduct research in the field of ecology technosphere, including industrial ecology;  prepared materials on the use of bio-indication in the industrial ecology;  to treat the results of research in the field of bioenergy. 13

Enrollment to the Program Who can apply- Students of Machine construction, Technological equipment of machine construction Prerequisites: Applicants in the program must have an education in the field of stage 1 (Machine construction, Technological equipment of machine construction). Persons who are educated in other technical professions must pass additional exams.  Admission fee presents (5 students out of 12)  Availability of scholarships: Granted by Ministry of education  Application deadline с : from 27 June to 05 July each year 15

 Procedure of applying to the Program  The list of the documents  statement addressed to the head of the University in the prescribed form ;  ◦ copies of diploma and its annexes, which are certified by the selection committee, or a copy of the document on education, confirming the receipt of a national higher education equivalent to the I stage of higher education in the Republic of Belarus, indicating the studied subjects taken and grades (marks ) which is certified by the selection committee ;  ◦ extract from the minutes of the meeting of the Board of the Faculty of institutions of higher education, containing recommendations for training at the II stage of higher education (for those in a higher education institution provides academic programs in higher education stage II, forming the knowledge and skills of scientific, educational and research and providing a master's degree in the year of completion of training at higher education level I );  ◦ recommendation for training at higher education level II, which may be issued to an organization interested in specialists with in-depth training (for those in a higher education institution provides academic programs in higher education stage II with in-depth training, providing a master's degree at the expense of learning of the budget );  ◦ extract ( copy) of the work book - for citizens engaged in labor activities ;  ◦ 4 photographs measuring 3 x 4 cm;  ◦ medical health certificate in the form prescribed by the Ministry of Health ;  ◦ identification document ( presented in person );  ◦ list and copies of published scientific papers, descriptions of inventions, reports on completed research and development ( if any), diplomas confirming victory in the national and (or) international competitions ( if available) For admission to the Master's necessary to pass the exam (engineering Technology) . 16
