EARNIE ELLISON PGA of America Foundation Golf: For Business & Life Vision: Establish a program at colleges and universities throughout the country enabling young men and women (primarily college juniors and seniors) the opportunity to learn the game of golf through professional instruction and to develop their golfing skills so that they can use golf as a business tool upon graduation.
ObjectivesObjectives –Instruction to be provided by PGA Members with student/professional ratio of 8:1 –Master the proper terminology and etiquette of the game –Experience the entire game of golf –Develop skills and techniques to successful play a scramble format GOLF: FOR BUSINESS & LIFE

History:History: –Started at Purdue University in 1999 –Sponsored by Alice and Pete Dye –PGA of America initiated the program in 1999 Summary Results:Summary Results: –3,500 students (14 universities) –From Student Surveys: 95% want to continue to play golf95% want to continue to play golf 35% of participants are females35% of participants are females 50% have never played golf50% have never played golf
