Unfinished Business-Denise PTA Financial Future: The purpose is to: Develop a 3-5 year financial plan Funding requests & budget Fund Priorities within 3-5 years Connected to school improvement/priorities Create Financial Coordinator position Facilitate financial work: fundraising, taxes, budget

PTA Financial Future Considerations to keep in mind: Board changes every two years PTA membership varies from year to year Where/how is the funding focus connected to PTA Priorities and/or the School Improvement Plan? How will we raise funds next year (ie Auction, Grants, Direct Donation…) to support our short and long term financing strategy?

Can we continue to fund what we have this year (field studies, teacher supports, etc.) and save towards priorities? Do we spend less in the following years, as we save towards the priorities? What would be our priorities? Can we set a goal for a year from now, to see some short term success? Should we develop some parameters for funding requests to ensure that the focus is connected to our priorities?

Possible Priorities: Develop Garden: grounds, structures & education. To do this a dedicated staff member is needed. Music program Some staff development (service learning and/or writing) Middle school initiatives (as yet to be dreamed up:) Technology (computer lab update) Math & Reading Clubs

Possible Priorities: Translation fees BOB- Battle of the Books set of 16 books for each classroom from grades 3-8 Continued support of Lego Robotics Assistants in lower grades Curtains and Sound System for Stage Pay someone to direct the play School Shirts for students & staff for spirit day
