Duke MBA Consulting Club Application for First Year Associate Positions 2011-2012

Events: Associate positions Roadmap Coordinator Goal: Manage the DMCC’s Roadmap events & curriculum – designed to help students succeed in consulting interviews Coordinate Roadmap sessions, including providing Roadmap instructors with support (i.e. supplying copies of feedback forms for FYs to use, printing relevant cases, etc.) Managing registration for Roadmap-related events Implementing feedback mechanisms (i.e. surveys) and synthesizing results for Roadmap events Support the project communication activities, i.e. designing event flyers, handouts, and other publications Other duties as assigned to support the club’s mission Estimated time commitment: ~ 8 hours/week or whatever it takes to get the job done Application process: Feel free to speak with Carolyn Ford, JP Higgins, Brittany Lockard, Priya Dhillon, or any SY Cabinet Member to understand what it will take to get the job done Put together a deck on club template that would include how you will get the job done. Be very practical and include examples as well as a detailed timeline for completion of activities and sub activities

Events: Associate positions Week-In-Cities Coordinator Goal: Organize trips to consulting firms in two US Cities (Atlanta & Chicago) & expand our brand Coordinate trip logistics: help plan all components, i.e. transportation, accommodation, activities cost alternatives, etc. Market the opportunity effectively and efficiently: develop marketing materials for event promotion within Fuqua and for local Fuqua alumni chapters Help the companies design an interesting agenda keeping everybody happy with the Duke brand Act as main point of contact with firms while preparing for the trip Other duties as assigned to support the club’s mission Estimated time commitment: ~ 8 hours/week or whatever it takes to get the job done Application process: Feel free to speak with Dan Koors, Jessica Harris, or any SY Cabinet Member to understand what it will take to get the job done. Events: Associate positions Case Competition Coordinator Goal: Organize and operate Fuqua’s premier case competition against UNC sponsored by Deloitte Consulting Communicate with UNC and Deloitte about case competition logistics Coordinate the informational event: Case Competitions 101 Organize and plan first and second rounds of case competition at Fuqua Help recruit judges Design flyers, brochures and other promotional materials Manage logistics like lunch orders, room reservations, furniture, Audio/Video, registration Other duties as assigned to support the club’s mission Estimated time commitment: ~ 8 hours/week or whatever it takes to get the job done Application process: Feel free to speak with Phyo Noe, Dan Koors, or any SY cabinet member to understand what it will take to get the job done Put together a deck on club template that would include how you will get the job done Be very practical and include examples as well as a detailed timeline for completion of activities and sub activities
