Dispute Resolution Resolve all disputes, co-coordinating with other groups as needed. Junior NJSBCL 2015 Cricket for kids age group 8 to 15 year old. Will be played with Soft Ball. Leather ball will be introduced to talented kids at end of season. Season starts April and ends in September. Will be played in the late afternoon over the weekends. Will have 2 centers, Edison and S. Brunswick Will be requesting applications later this season.

Schedule 2015 Highlights 40 teams division I. 60 Teams Division II. 2 teams are on a wait-list. Division I : 19 round Robin Games. Knockout starts from with 16 teams. Division II: Two rounds, 15 round I and 3 round II games. Round I : Teams are divided in 4 Groups. Group A plays D and Group B plays C Round II : Groups are merged to form logical ranking from Teams play additional 3 games to complete 18 games. Knock out starts with 32 teams. Double Elimination: Starts with Round of 8 (Qtr Finals) for both Division. Home/Away games are kept even and uniform. This can change as some teams have blanket permit. Umpiring has been keep uniform. We are still working on assignments to make it streamlined. Final Schedule will be released on 1 st April 2015.
Starts from Round of 16 for both Divisions. Idea is to give teams one more chance in order to make a comeback. There are winner and losers bracket. If you lose you get a second chance and might have to play back-to-back on the same weekend. Bonus: We get more cricket and more excitement. Double Elimination
Grounds The EC is trying to do its best to accommodate all ground requests. The EC has 13 grounds (a few permits are yet to be released). Ground allocation is being done based on many factors such as Groups/Sharing and others. Teams will receive confirmation from EC in separate . We have few teams who are sharing ground with us. We encourage collaboration. Few Grounds… Johnson Park (Pitch 1 and Pitch 2), Piscataway area Cedarbrook park, Kawameeh Park, Warinanco Park, Union County Area Eisenhower 1 and Eisenhower II. Bridgewater Cricket Ground. South Brunswick: Rowland Park Pitch 1, Pitch II. Tall Timber. Pension Road Ground. Kilmer Road Edison Area
Key Rule Changes for 2015 Qualifying for knock outs – Div 2 The top 8 teams from Div-2 will qualify for knock outs Promotion to Div 1 The 4 Semi-finalists and the top remaining team from each pool Determination of best all-rounder Points for each Runs=1, wickets=7, catches and run outs = 3 Bonus for major milestones – 50, 100, 5 wickets Non 360 grounds Teams must reach out to EC and other teams to play on 360 ground. Pay the required fees for the permit Joint responsibility for clean up Mankading Rule changed to match MCC/ICC rules Cannot run out if already entered delivery stride.
No Permit by host team Host team forfeits the game Stumping allowed off a ball that hits the batsman’s body This is the exception to a dead ball Switch hit Both batsman and bowler can be penalized for holding up and time wasting Double Elimination New format introduced on trial basis Will be reviewed next year to decide whether to continue or not Minor changes – explanations, re-wording Rule – 8.7 – distribution of teams from Div-2 that qualified to play in Div-1 Rule 38 – wicket keeper movement Rule 42.2 – No ball rule about the feet positions.
