Katedra elektrotechniky a informatiky College of Polytechnics Jihlava – public educational institution of non-universitary manner (2 in the Czech Republic) intended as a practice–oriented educational institution (analogy to Fachhochschule / School of Engineering) established 2004 first technical study programme : 7 study fields in 5 study programmes, most fields offered in present and combined form

Katedra elektrotechniky a informatiky approx students (stabilized number) – influence of demografic drop expected largest study programme – Economics and Management (2 study fields) only Bachelor study available yet standard length of study – 3 years internship / practical training mandatory in all study fields

Katedra elektrotechniky a informatiky technical study programme – Electrical Engineering and Informatics – Computer Systems (present and combined form) – Applied Computer Science (present form only) suffers from high unsuccess rate, mainly in first year of study < 150 students in both fields of study courses provided mainly by Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science – 14 staff members, 4 external teachers – constantaneous effort to improve staff qualification (PhD, assoc. prof.)
