The Last Post Get together with others in your community - in your school or your workplace, your family or your place of worship, your library or even your sports centre. Choose a story - everyone has a story, everywhere has a story – explore your family histories, or the history of your town or village, postcode or building. Hold an event to share your First World War story – assembly or concert, barbeque, tea party, or remembrance service: it’s up to you. At the event, play the last post yourselves – no need to bugle, the last post can be played on any instrument from guitar to piano. You can also enlist the help of local musicians to perform other music from the era. Then post your First World War story online– connect your heritage up with the stories which other communities are sharing for the First World War Centenary
