PROJECT DATECLIENT OCTOBER 5, 2012 DR. GARY W. HOUCHENS & DR. THOMAS A. STEWART FOR KY TEACHMEET, WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY The enneagram pathways to enhanced classroom culture

The Enneagram is......an ancient personality-typing system that can be startlingly accurate.... comprehensive in its descriptions of each of its nine levels.

Nine Ennea-Types Let ’ s quickly discover the nine distinct personality types identified by the Enneagram system. Each type identifies ways of communicating, behaving and interacting with others. Remember: You embody one of those types…and so do each of your students (and colleagues).

Type One: The Perfection Seeker High expectations Knows what’s “right” Disciplined Judging

Type Two: The Love Seeker Caring Attends to others before himself/herself Resentful

Type Three: The Recognition Seeker Confident Motivated by success and recognition Workaholic Little time for feelings “Chameleon”

Type Four: The Individuality Seeker Creative Expressive … sometimes overly so Intense Self-conscious Deep need to feel unique and special Desire to do “important” work

Type Five: The Wisdom Seeker Analytical Scientific thinker Solitary Detached Feels emotion but does not show emotion

Type Six: The Safety Seeker Loyal Responsible Careful/worrying The “Devil’s Advocate” of the Enneagram

Type Seven: The Fun Seeker Enthusiastic Spontaneous Synthesizing Unfocused Rebellious when completing unrewarding work

Type Eight: The Independence Seeker Direct Assertive Advocate Controlling

Type Nine: The Peace Seeker Affable Accepting Procrastinator Passive aggressive

Now let’s try it... GO TO: test-2.php test-2.php
