Artificial and Natural Ecosystems By Haley and Kaitlyn

Advantages Cleans waste products overtime through become low in a certain area. Natural processes. Free range allowing animals and plants to move freely is resources Disadvantages Can easily be disrupted by human activity such as pollution, invasive specie introduction or land development. Animals and plants face natural predation and the elements.

CORAL REEF

ALVIN.

Advantages An artificial ecosystem can prevent disease from spreading. Controlled predation and nutritional intake of flora and fauna. Disadvantages Limited space. Difficult to imitate natural environment; environment sometimes plays a role in breeding cycles of animal and plants.

Why are marine animals so attracted to sunken ships? Some eat the wood, some use its vertical remains as perches, others use its crevices and chasms as hiding or hiding out places. Barnacles cement down and eat plankton.
