Little House In The Big Woods In the beginning in a small house in the woods there was a family of 5: Pa, Ma, Mary, Laura and Carrie. They had fun telling stories and listening to Pa play the fiddle. Their pa goes to town and buys wood for a new house by the creek still. Pa goes to the store and gets a lot of seed then tragedy happens. A huge group of grasshoppers come and eat all the crops. Mary also becomes blind.

These Happy Golden Years  First Laura gets a certificate to be able to teach school. The Brewster’s let Laura stay at their house so she can teach in their town. It is 40 miles away from the Ingalls house. Almonzo has a crush on Laura but she doesn’t know it. Almonzo takes Laura home every Saturday. One day Almonzo asks Laura if she would accept a ring. So the next week when Almonzo takes Laura home he purposes to Laura and she says yes!
