Funded by EU’s Fundamental Rights and Citizenship Programme Project „Youth against Racism” (JLS/2008/FRAC/AG/ CE /00-57) The main idea of the project is to turn the youth work into a sphere free of harmful stereotypes in order to insure that racism and xenophobia do not present in youth projects and activities across Europe; The project will raise the awareness about racism and xenophobia among youth activists, organizations and institutions, which do not deal with these issues, but who work with young people and influence their values, attitudes and behaviour. We DO NOT want them to change their sphere of work – we certainly don’t expect (and want) them to leave ecology, charity, youth governance, arts, sports, etc. and start doing Human Rights projects. We DO NOT want to force these organizations to mainstream anti-racist measures in their work. We rely on our educational and communication methods to CONVINCE them that it is important and will then provide support for them, when they express the desire to participate. 4. We believe the best way for mainstreaming anti- racist measures in youth work is by the development and adoption of anti-racist youth organizational policies. GUIDELINES
