Purpose »Investigate injury data for vehicles reported in Sweden »Identify if newer vehicles have introduced any critical changes to personal injuries

Material »Swedish accidents reported in the STRADA database »Linked hospital and police data »Provides AIS injury information »No definition of accident severity (EES,  V, etc.) »No confirmation of seatbelt use in database

Conclusions »The material contained interesting information on injuries but could not be applied in current GRSP activities »No information on impact severity (needed to identify test severity requirements) »Limited information for newer vehicles (needed to identify exposure and establish injury rates) »Information has application in compatibility studies when comparing vehicle-vehicle impacts
