the first Olympic games was held every four years in Athens. These are the games that would be played: boxing, chariot racing, discus, wrestling and much more. if you did a pentathlon you did a series of sports like wrestling,discus, long jump and running could be one.

Differences There are hundreds of differences between the ancient Olympics and the modern Olympics. So I am going to compare some. old new The old Olympics had a load of old fashion such as Less games More games Smaller stadium Bigger stadium More better and more facilities Less facilities safer The new Olympic has newer sports Medal awards are better More countries compete Only Greeks competed The winners got a olive leaf crown The stadium was made out of sandstone

Modern Olympics The new Olympics are very fancy, they have there really big stadiums with high class seats. That means more and more money is spent on the Olympics so we can sit at home and watch it. There are loads more sports in modern Olympics, and there are loads of stadiums for different types of sports. Like a swimming block a hockey block football stadium and much more.

2012 Olympics Wow the 2012 Olympics here in England how much do you think will be spent? I don’t think we will spend as much as the 2008 China Olympics. But I think we will have a good chance of actually winning the Olympics and we will see some new athletes and new faces in the Olympics.
